What Is Polyester Powder Coating?
If you're searching for polyester powder coating in Essex, you're already looking in the right place. It's the finish we specialise in, and it's the one we'd recommend for the vast majority of projects, because of how well it performs once it's out in the real world.
How is polyester powder coating applied?
Like all powder coating, polyester powder is applied as a fine, dry powder using an electrostatic charge, then cured in an oven, where it melts and flows into a smooth, continuous finish bonded directly to the metal.

What makes polyester different once it's cured?
It's prized for its excellent UV resistance and weatherability. Where some coatings fade, chalk, or discolour under sunlight over time, polyester holds its colour and gloss for years, even in exposed outdoor conditions.
Is polyester the right choice for every job?
For most projects, yes. But where chemical or corrosion resistance matters more than UV stability, such as parts that stay indoors or below ground, Epoxy Powder Coating can be a better fit, and we offer that too.

Everything happens in-house, across our Essex sites, from metal preparation through to the final cured finish.
We hold a wide range of polyester powder colours and finishes in stock, so we can match customer specifications quickly, and because we work to so many different specs day to day, colour changeovers rarely slow us down.

Every piece that comes through our line goes through the same quality process: visual inspection, coating thickness measurement, and spot adhesion testing, before it's carefully packaged to avoid any damage in transit. It's the same standard whether it's a one-off job or a full production run.

Applications of Polyester Powder Coating
Because it holds up so well outdoors, polyester powder coating is the standard finish across a huge range of industries:
Architectural and construction: railings, gates, fencing, window frames, and structural steelwork that need to withstand years of exposure to the elements.

Automotive and engineering: wheels, brackets, and components that need a finish tough enough to handle daily wear and weathering.

Agricultural and industrial equipment: machinery and equipment parts that face heavy use, outdoor conditions, and the occasional knock.

Furniture and retail: shelving, display units, and fixtures where the finish needs to look as good as it performs, indoors or out.
